Welcome to 2025 Feeding Tube Awareness Month!
Since 2011, February has been recognized globally as Feeding Tube Awareness Month. Throughout this month, a diverse group of families, healthcare professionals, researchers, partners, advocates, and global community members come together to elevate the significance of feeding tubes, sharing the distinct experiences and the extensive impact feeding tubes have on individuals' lives.
This year's theme for the community is "Transforming Hope."
Our community boasts a strength of over 3 million individuals, encompassing families, researchers, clinicians, and community members of all ages and backgrounds from around the world. Daily, we express our profound gratitude for the numerous ways we can alter the landscape of feeding tube reliance, paving the way for brighter futures for countless families. The sense of isolation our families may encounter is something we understand intimately. Many of us have navigated the feeding tube journey alongside our children, and it's clear that when we unite as a community, we are stronger together. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share the multitude of stories that illustrate not only the transformation of FTF over the past year but also the daily occurrences within our community— stories that continually redefine the essence and notion of hope, both online and offline.
The current era is unparalleled in the history of enteral feeding, brimming with promising research and an enhanced comprehension of how to optimize the quality of life for more children, adults, and families.
We invite you to partake in this endeavor and have provided various ways to get involved this February in the toolkit.
We will persist in updating our calendar of events and additional resources for use throughout February!
