Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program is designed to promote awareness, advocacy, and action within communities globally. FTF Ambassadors, who are fervent about our cause, each contribute a profound connection to the feeding tube community, nurturing a feeling of inclusion, solace, and comprehension. They are instrumental in guiding our policies and play a significant role in pioneering support for families dealing with the complexities of feeding tube dependency.
Bonding Bears
We are committed to ensuring no family walks this journey alone. Oftentimes, having a feeding tube can feel isolating, putting children and adults at risk of developing anxiety and/or depression. Through the gift of a Bonding Bear, we can ensure that each person navigating the challenges of feeding tube dependency has a lifetime companion to make the transition from hospital to home feel less isolating. FTF Bonding Bears are a multifaceted initiative, serving both educational and supportive purposes. Whether you’re a parent of a child in the hospital discussing the need for a feeding tube, or a medical provider giving education to families after a feeding tube placement, our Bonding Bears help make both sides of the journey more comforting.
Peer Mentor Program
The Peer Mentor program is founded on the principles of respect and appreciation for the diverse experiences within the feeding tube community. Our mentors, trained in trauma-informed care and guided by a licensed medical social worker, are vital and varied members of the community. They leverage their personal experiences to provide support, solace, and direction to families navigating this complex journey.
We are committed to expanding our mentor program to meet the diverse needs of our families. Whether you’re a new parent, a grandparent, or anywhere in between, we’re dedicated to providing you with mentors who can offer empathetic support, share their knowledge, and help you find hope in the face of adversity.
